In March 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work LOTUS by Pan Gongshou. The »bidding war« ended at USD 16,250.00 (€ 15,128.95), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Pan Gongshou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscapes in September 2015 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 145,583.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im März 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit LOTUS von Pan Gongshou zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 15.128,95) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pan Gongshou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscapes im September 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 145.583,23).
