Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Verdant Ash Trees by Patrick Swift was sold in the Monte Alverno - An Irish Private Collection auction at Sothebys in London in May last year. The price achieved of GBP 15,120.00 (€ 17,787.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Patrick Swift have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Olive Tree in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 50,900.00 (€ 73,095.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Verdant Ash Trees von Patrick Swift wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Monte Alverno - An Irish Private Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.120,00 (€ 17.787,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Patrick Swift auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Olive Tree im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.900,00 (€ 73.095,75).
