This artwork by Paul Basilius Barth achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Geneva in November 2002. In the SCHWEIZER KUNST auction, the work Riesmühle, 1953 sold for CHF 9,560.00 (€ 6,477.93) - well above the upper estimate of CHF 4,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Paul Basilius Barth; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Weg Im Sonnenlicht, 1945 sold at auction in June 2001 with the realized price of CHF 9,987.50 (€ 6,558.94).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Basilius Barth erzielte im November 2002 bei Christies in Genf einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion SCHWEIZER KUNST wurde die Arbeit Riesmühle, 1953 für CHF 9.560,00 (€ 6.477,93) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von CHF 4.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Paul Basilius Barth; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Weg Im Sonnenlicht, 1945 im Juni 2001 mit dem Hammerpreis von CHF 9.987,50 (€ 6.558,94).
