Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Man by Paul Cadmus was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,132.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Cadmus achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lloyd and Barbara Wescott in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 2,430,000.00 (€ 2,152,919.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Man von Paul Cadmus kam im März 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.132,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Cadmus erzielen.
