In July 2008 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Modern Art, which included the work L'Elegante, 1950 by Pavel Chmaroff. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,089.00 36% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Pavel Chmaroff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Bathers in December 2009 with an auction result of GBP 34,850.00 (€ 39,312.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 36 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2008 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'Elegante, 1950 von Pavel Chmaroff zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.089,00 und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pavel Chmaroff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Bathers im Dezember 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 34.850,00 (€ 39.312,03).
