In November 2012 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors - Style & Spirit Including Collection of a Nobleman Part I, which included the work Seascape with rocky formations by Paul-Elie Gernez. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 2,001.84). Admittedly, works by Paul-Elie Gernez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Notre Dame de Grace in February 2001 with an auction result of USD 11,750.00 (€ 12,755.10).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Im November 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors - Style & Spirit Including Collection of a Nobleman Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seascape with rocky formations von Paul-Elie Gernez zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.625,00 (€ 2.001,84) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul-Elie Gernez auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Notre Dame de Grace im Februar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.750,00 (€ 12.755,10).
