Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Paul Jenkins achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in March last year. In the Post-War, Contemporary and Latin American Art Online auction, the work without title sold for USD 16,562.50 (€ 14,930.59) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Jenkins have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Phenomena Arroyo Sounding in March 2017 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 81,790.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Jenkins erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War, Contemporary and Latin American Art Online wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 16.562,50 (€ 14.930,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Jenkins auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Phenomena Arroyo Sounding im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 81.790,99).
