This artwork by Paul Jouve achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in November 2006. In the Arts Décoratifs du XXè Siècle et Design auction, the work Deux Elephants, Vers ??? sold for EUR 5,520.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Jouve achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Panthère Noire Combattant Un Python, Vers 1930 in June 2006 with an auction result of EUR 168,000.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Jouve erzielte im November 2006 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Arts Décoratifs du XXè Siècle et Design wurde die Arbeit Deux Elephants, Vers ??? für EUR 5.520,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Jouve erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Panthère Noire Combattant Un Python, Vers 1930 im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 168.000,00.
