Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Paul Karslake could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work Slave woman changed hands for GBP 144.00 (€ 210.80) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Karslake achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A lobster, onion, caviar, garlic and lemon with a bottle of Petrus in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,606.10).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Karslake konnte im Juli 2006 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Slave woman für GBP 144,00 (€ 210,80) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Karslake erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A lobster, onion, caviar, garlic and lemon with a bottle of Petrus im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.120,00 (€ 4.606,10).
