Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tiger Hunt by Paul Mak was sold in the Russian Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in November 2014. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,972.06) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Mak have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Schéhérazade With A Peacock in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 42,768.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tiger Hunt von Paul Mak wurde im November 2014 in der Auktion Russian Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.972,06) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Mak auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Schéhérazade With A Peacock im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.800,00 (€ 42.768,90).
