Auction result well in line with expectations
The work You Can Be Sure Of Shell, Kimmeridge Folly, Dorset by Paul Nash was auctioned at Bonhams in February this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 892.50 (€ 1,018.02) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Nash achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bridge, Romney Marsh in October last year with an auction result of GBP 352,800.00 (€ 411,008.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit You Can Be Sure Of Shell, Kimmeridge Folly, Dorset von Paul Nash kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 892,50 (€ 1.018,02) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Nash erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Bridge, Romney Marsh im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 352.800,00 (€ 411.008,09).
