This work of art by Paul Ritter could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the All That Is Glorious Around Us: Property from an Important American Collector auction, the work Old Cro' Nest, Near West Point changed hands for USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,507.35) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Ritter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View of West Point, New York, which sold at auction in March 2010 for USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,241.46).
