Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Ordi O 35 by Paul Rouillier was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 625.00 (€ 796.08). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Rouillier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 310, which sold at auction in October 2010 for USD 2,750.00 (€ 1,979.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Ordi O 35 von Paul Rouillier im Juli 2012 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 625,00 (€ 796,08) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Rouillier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 310 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2010 für USD 2.750,00 (€ 1.979,27) versteigert wurde.
