Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A village in the snow by Peder Mørk Mønsted was sold in the British and European Art auction at Christies in London in December 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 11,869.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peder Mørk Mønsted achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flusslandschaft im Spreewald in December 2021 with an auction result of EUR 275,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A village in the snow von Peder Mørk Mønsted wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion British and European Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 11.869,07) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peder Mørk Mønsted erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flusslandschaft im Spreewald im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 275.000,00.
