In May 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Sale Evening Session, which included the work La guerra florida by Pedro Coronel. The »bidding war« ended at USD 457,000.00 (€ 293,701.80), 52% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pedro Coronel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Año 1 luna, which sold at auction in March this year for USD 693,000.00 (€ 637,417.22).

Im Mai 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Sale Evening Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit La guerra florida von Pedro Coronel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 457.000,00 (€ 293.701,80) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Pedro Coronel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Año 1 luna beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für USD 693.000,00 (€ 637.417,22) versteigert wurde.
