Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Bonhams in Paris held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Vagues de la mer by Pericles Byzantios. The price achieved of EUR 5,355.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pericles Byzantios have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greek A Horse-Drawn Carriage in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 34,100.00 (€ 43,472.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vagues de la mer von Pericles Byzantios zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.355,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pericles Byzantios auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Greek A Horse-Drawn Carriage im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 34.100,00 (€ 43.472,68).
