Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Returning from market by Peter de Wint was sold in the British and European Art auction at Bonhams in London in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,408.00 (€ 1,642.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter de Wint achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two boys with a donkey in January 2003 with an auction result of GBP 20,315.00 (€ 31,114.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Returning from market von Peter de Wint wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion British and European Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.408,00 (€ 1.642,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter de Wint erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two boys with a donkey im Januar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.315,00 (€ 31.114,73).
