A top price for Peter Drake - as previously expected
The work Oval by Peter Drake was sold in the The Stoclet Collections auction at Bonhams in Paris in October this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,024.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Oval is the most expensive artwork by Peter Drake that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Oval von Peter Drake wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Stoclet Collections bei Bonhams in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.024,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Oval das teuerste Kunstwerk von Peter Drake, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
