This artwork by Peter Klier achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2002. In the PHOTOGRAPHS, MAGIC LANTERNS AND OPTICAL TOYS AND CAMERAS auction, the work Rangoon, Burma sold for GBP 998.75 (€ 1,563.99) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Peter Klier; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Burmese Girls, Birmanie, Circa 1875 sold at auction in June 2007 with the realized price of EUR 1,735.00.

In der Auktion PHOTOGRAPHS, MAGIC LANTERNS AND OPTICAL TOYS AND CAMERAS wurde die Arbeit Rangoon, Burma für GBP 998,75 (€ 1.563,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Peter Klier; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Burmese Girls, Birmanie, Circa 1875 im Juni 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 1.735,00.
