Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Two Centuries: American Art, which included the work The Bear by Philip R. Goodwin. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,024.00 (€ 2,575.15). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philip R. Goodwin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Northwood King--Calling the Moose in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 269,000.00 (€ 244,678.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Two Centuries: American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Bear von Philip R. Goodwin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.024,00 (€ 2.575,15) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philip R. Goodwin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Northwood King--Calling the Moose im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 269.000,00 (€ 244.678,92).
