Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The canopy by Phillip Richard Morris was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 646.25 (€ 1,012.52) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Phillip Richard Morris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Riven Shield She loved me for the dangers I had passed, And I loved her that she did pity them. Othello, Act I, Scene III in October 2005 with an auction result of USD 45,600.00 (€ 38,015.84).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 646,25 (€ 1.012,52) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
