Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philipp Peter Roos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A bull, goat, ram and sheepdog before ruins in a rocky landscape; and A sheep and a goat, with a horseman beyond in a rocky landscape in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 60,738.93).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CHF 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CHF 4.375,00 (€ 3.857,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philipp Peter Roos erzielen.
