Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 28,567.57), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pier Francesco Mazzucchelli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Studies for Christ before Caiaphas, which sold at auction in December 2020 for GBP 100,000.00 (€ 111,708.91).
