Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2001 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work Woodland leading to sand dunes by Piero Antonio Gariazzo. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 211.50 (€ 341.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Piero Antonio Gariazzo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Javanese dancer, which sold at auction in September 2006 for EUR 1,020.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Woodland leading to sand dunes von Piero Antonio Gariazzo zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 211,50 (€ 341,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Piero Antonio Gariazzo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Javanese dancer beobachtet, die im September 2006 für EUR 1.020,00 versteigert wurde.
