This artwork by Pierre Adolphe Valette achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2012. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Woman Knitting, with Goats sold for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,368.66) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pierre Adolphe Valette - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hansom Cab, Manchester, which sold at auction in December 2011 for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,952.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pierre Adolphe Valette erzielte im Juli 2012 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wurde die Arbeit Woman Knitting, with Goats für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.368,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pierre Adolphe Valette mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hansom Cab, Manchester beobachtet, die im Dezember 2011 für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.952,83) versteigert wurde.
