In January this year Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings and Sculpture Online, which included the work A bather in a landscape by Antoine Pierre Mongin. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 30,240.00 (€ 27,850.43). With this result, A bather in a landscape is even the most expensive work of art by Antoine Pierre Mongin that we have observed at auctions so far.
