Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Capo Di Monte, Sorrente (Baie De Naples) by Pierre-Auguste Renoir was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in London in February 2015. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 845,000.00 (€ 1,165,129.50). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre-Auguste Renoir achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Berthe Morisot et sa fille, Julie Manet in May last year with an auction result of USD 24,435,000.00 (€ 22,770,478.05).
