Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,843.25). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre-Charles Comte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Secret Rendevous in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 48,000.00 (€ 38,022.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit At the gentlemen's club von Pierre-Charles Comte kam im Januar 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.843,25) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre-Charles Comte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Secret Rendevous im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 48.000,00 (€ 38.022,81).
