This price was achieved in the auction Treasures of France at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Pierre-Charles Trémolières have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vénus Et L'Amour in November 2011 with an auction result of EUR 56,302.00.
