Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2015 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Le Cadre Noir à Paris devant la Tribune Présidentielle by Pierre Gavarni. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 55,993.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Pierre Gavarni have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2010 the work French aux Courses De Texonnieras was auctioned for GBP 49,250.00 (€ 58,853.67).

Im April 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Cadre Noir à Paris devant la Tribune Présidentielle von Pierre Gavarni zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 55.993,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Pierre Gavarni konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2010 die Arbeit French aux Courses De Texonnieras für GBP 49.250,00 (€ 58.853,67) versteigert.
