Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Solitude on a sunlit path by Pieter Francis Peters was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,375.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pieter Francis Peters have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A view of Istanbul with the Bosporus at sunset in November 2016 with an auction result of EUR 27,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Solitude on a sunlit path von Pieter Francis Peters kam im September 2007 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.375,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pieter Francis Peters auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A view of Istanbul with the Bosporus at sunset im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.500,00.
