This work of art by Pieter Jansz. van Asch could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the OLD MASTER PICTURES & DRAWINGS auction, the work A wooded river landscape with hunters on a path changed hands for GBP 2,987.50 (€ 4,228.14) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter Jansz. van Asch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A hunting party near a lake, a village in the distance, which sold at auction in May 2007 for EUR 14,400.00.
