Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2007 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Pictures, which included the work A Sense of Touch; and A Sense of Taste by Pieter Verelst. The price achieved of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,258.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Verelst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The head of a young boy in December 2000 with an auction result of GBP 212,750.00 (€ 338,908.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Sense of Touch; and A Sense of Taste von Pieter Verelst zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.258,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter Verelst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The head of a young boy im Dezember 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 212.750,00 (€ 338.908,85).
