This artwork by Pietro Ricchi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Milan in June 2006. In the Old Master Paintings and Drawings auction, the work Assunzione Della Vergine sold for EUR 17,360.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pietro Ricchi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Queen Tomyris with the head of King Cyrus, which sold at auction in January 2009 for USD 68,500.00 (€ 53,498.91).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Pietro Ricchi erzielte im Juni 2006 bei Christies in Mailand einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Paintings and Drawings wurde die Arbeit Assunzione Della Vergine für EUR 17.360,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pietro Ricchi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Queen Tomyris with the head of King Cyrus beobachtet, die im Januar 2009 für USD 68.500,00 (€ 53.498,91) versteigert wurde.
