Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Christies in London held the auction Discovering Old Masters: The Legacy of Piero Corsini, which included the work The Adoration Of The Magi by Polidoro de Renzi. It changed hands for a price of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,410.14) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Polidoro de Renzi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Madonna And Child With The Young Saint John The Baptist, which sold at auction in January 2014 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 37,037.04).

Im Oktober 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Discovering Old Masters: The Legacy of Piero Corsini durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Adoration Of The Magi von Polidoro de Renzi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.410,14) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Polidoro de Renzi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Madonna And Child With The Young Saint John The Baptist beobachtet, die im Januar 2014 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 37.037,04) versteigert wurde.
