Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included this untitled work by Prabhakar Kolte. The price achieved of GBP 1,638.00 (€ 1,940.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Prabhakar Kolte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 42,000.00 (€ 31,404.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Prabhakar Kolte zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.638,00 (€ 1.940,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Prabhakar Kolte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 42.000,00 (€ 31.404,22).
