Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Cultivating Delight: Collecting Chinese Art, which included the work Scholar’s Table, Rock and Tree by Pu Sheng. The price achieved of HKD 6,875.00 (€ 753.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 5,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pu Sheng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Hidden Place in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,799.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Cultivating Delight: Collecting Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Scholar’s Table, Rock and Tree von Pu Sheng zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 6.875,00 (€ 753,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 5.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pu Sheng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Hidden Place im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.799,07).
