Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Qi Kun could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Spring Mountains After Rain changed hands for HKD 56,250.00 (€ 6,571.50) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qi Kun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscapes in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,000,000.00 (€ 93,006.49).
