Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ransome Gillet Holdredge could be acquired at Bonhams in April this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Western Art auction, the work Native American Encampment changed hands for USD 1,530.00 (€ 1,385.87) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ransome Gillet Holdredge have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wind River Mountain, Idaho in April this year with an auction result of USD 7,650.00 (€ 6,929.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ransome Gillet Holdredge konnte im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Western Art wechselte die Arbeit Native American Encampment für USD 1.530,00 (€ 1.385,87) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ransome Gillet Holdredge auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wind River Mountain, Idaho im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.650,00 (€ 6.929,35).
