Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 62,667.49) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Raphael von Ambros - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Austrianthe Baker'S Shop, Cairo, which sold at auction in April 2018 for GBP 162,500.00 (€ 185,070.19).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 62.667,49) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Raphael von Ambros mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Austrianthe Baker'S Shop, Cairo beobachtet, die im April 2018 für GBP 162.500,00 (€ 185.070,19) versteigert wurde.
