In June this year Bonhams in Paris held the auction Alain Delon 60 Years of Passion, which included the work Joseph racontant ses songes by Rembrandt van Rijn. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 16,640.00 66% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rembrandt van Rijn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a lady, aged 62, perhaps Aeltje Pietersdr. Uylenburgh, wife of Johannes Cornelisz. Sylvius, half-length, in black costume and a cap and collar in December 2000 with an auction result of GBP 19,803,750.00 (€ 31,547,196.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 66 % übertroffen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion Alain Delon 60 Years of Passion durch, in der auch die Arbeit Joseph racontant ses songes von Rembrandt van Rijn zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 16.640,00 und damit 66% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rembrandt van Rijn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, aged 62, perhaps Aeltje Pietersdr. Uylenburgh, wife of Johannes Cornelisz. Sylvius, half-length, in black costume and a cap and collar im Dezember 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 19.803.750,00 (€ 31.547.196,55).
