Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Lady under Plum Tree by Ren Xiong. The price achieved of HKD 56,250.00 (€ 4,917.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ren Xiong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Drinking Cards with Illustrations of Daoist Immortals in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 5,765,000.00 (€ 668,633.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2007 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lady under Plum Tree von Ren Xiong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 56.250,00 (€ 4.917,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ren Xiong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Drinking Cards with Illustrations of Daoist Immortals im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.765.000,00 (€ 668.633,27).
