The work Mujer Con Sombrero by René Portocarrero was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in November 2015. The auction ended at the price of USD 40,000.00 (€ 37,871.62), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by René Portocarrero have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paisaje de La Habana in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 295,500.00 (€ 279,353.37).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Mujer Con Sombrero von René Portocarrero wurde im November 2015 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 37.871,62) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von René Portocarrero auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paisaje de La Habana im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 295.500,00 (€ 279.353,37).
