Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Robert Henri achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in October 2020. In the American Art auction, the work Luxembourg Gardens, Stormy Sky sold for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,098.57) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Henri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mary Agnes in December 2009 with an auction result of USD 1,538,500.00 (€ 1,073,471.95).
