In May last year Bonhams in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work La Mora 41 1/8 x 33 in. (104.5 x 83.8 cm.) by Robert Henri. The »bidding war« ended at USD 409,875.00 (€ 381,954.15), 37% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Henri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mary Agnes, which sold at auction in December 2009 for USD 1,538,500.00 (€ 1,073,471.95).
