Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Mary Patton by Robert Henri. It changed hands for a price of USD 468,500.00 (€ 416,963.33) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Henri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mary Agnes, which sold at auction in December 2009 for USD 1,538,500.00 (€ 1,073,471.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mary Patton von Robert Henri zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 468.500,00 (€ 416.963,33) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Henri mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mary Agnes beobachtet, die im Dezember 2009 für USD 1.538.500,00 (€ 1.073.471,95) versteigert wurde.
