In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Highland cattle on a beach sold for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,414.37) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Russell MacNee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A country lane in summer in October 2003 with an auction result of GBP 6,931.00 (€ 10,123.36).
