Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work A River Running Through A Landscape by Robert Weir Allan. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 200.00 – 400.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 215.10 (€ 193.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Weir Allan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A View Of San Giorgio Maggiore, Venice in August 2007 with an auction result of GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,834.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A River Running Through A Landscape von Robert Weir Allan zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 200,00 – 400,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 215,10 (€ 193,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Weir Allan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A View Of San Giorgio Maggiore, Venice im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.800,00 (€ 24.834,84).
