Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Bonhams in London held the auction 20th Century Masters | A Private CollectionFontana to Baselitz, which included this untitled work by Roberto Matta. The price achieved of GBP 23,040.00 (€ 26,814.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roberto Matta achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Pendu (The Hanged Man) in December 2011 with an auction result of EUR 1,800,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion 20th Century Masters | A Private CollectionFontana to Baselitz durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Roberto Matta zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 23.040,00 (€ 26.814,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roberto Matta erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Pendu (The Hanged Man) im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.800.750,00.
