A top price for Roberto Matta
In December 2011 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Art Impressionniste & Moderne, which included the work Le Pendu (The Hanged Man) by Roberto Matta. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,800,750.00 20% above the upper estimate. With this result, Le Pendu (The Hanged Man) is even the most expensive work of art by Roberto Matta that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Dezember 2011 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Art Impressionniste & Moderne durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Pendu (The Hanged Man) von Roberto Matta zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.800.750,00 und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Le Pendu (The Hanged Man) sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Roberto Matta, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
